How this data is compiled — and what we don't verify

VietSourced is a fact-based reference, not a rating service. This page explains where our data comes from, how we handle it, and the limits you should assume when using it for sourcing decisions.

Where the data comes from

Each brand and product profile is compiled from a combination of:

• Public business registrations and company disclosures.
• Certification records (e.g. OCOP ratings, organic certificates, ISO, HACCP) as reported by the company or the issuing body.
• Company-owned channels — official websites, verified marketplace stores, and press coverage.

Every figure on a profile carries its source and the date we retrieved it. Where a company reports a number we could not independently corroborate, we label it as self-reported.

How we write

• Facts, not verdicts. We state the registration year, the certificate and its issuer, the markets a company has shipped to. We do not call a company "trusted", "leading", or "best".
• Dates on everything. A certification without a date is not useful for due diligence, so every claim is dated and each profile shows a "Last reviewed" date.
• Domestic signals, explained. Vietnamese context — OCOP stars, domestic awards, retail listings, VND pricing — is kept as market-traction evidence, with a short gloss for readers outside Vietnam.

What we do NOT verify

Please read this before relying on any profile:

• We have not visited any facility or audited production in person.
• We have not inspected the underlying certificates; we report what companies and public records state, including validity dates where available.
• Self-reported figures — revenue, output volumes, headcount, "first in Vietnam" claims — are presented as reported, not confirmed.
• Export markets listed are those a company reports having shipped to; we do not treat "planned" or "in-negotiation" markets as active exports.

Provinces and the 2025 mergers

Vietnam reorganised several provincial boundaries in July 2025. Profiles use the current province name and note the former one, because importers checking older paperwork, certificates, or shipping records will encounter the previous name.

Corrections

If a profile contains an error or you represent a listed company and want data updated, contact us. We date corrections and keep the "Last reviewed" line current.
